Abstract:
In order to prevent consumption of degraded fuel by an engine with which a vehicle is provided, an ECU (100) includes: a consumption amount calculation unit (110); an elapsed time calculation unit (120); a consumption rate calculation unit (130); and a recommended refuel amount calculation unit (140). The consumption amount calculation unit (110) calculates a fuel consumption amount (ΔF) by subtracting an actual remaining amount (F) at the current time from an actual remaining amount (Fs) at the time of completion of the last refueling. The elapsed time calculation unit (120) counts an elapsed time (T) from the last refueling time to the current time. The consumption rate calculation unit (130) calculates a fuel consumption rate (R) by dividing the fuel consumption amount (ΔF) by the elapsed time (T) (= ΔF / T). The recommended refuel amount calculation unit (140) calculates a recommended refuel amount (ΔFrec) for the next time by finding the product of the fuel consumption rate (R) and a prescribed time (T0) (= R·T0) on the assumption that the next refueling occurs when the fuel remaining amount drops below a target remaining amount, and notifies a user of the calculated recommended refuel amount (ΔFrec) for the next time.
