Abstract:
Provided is a vehicle functional device which is capable of preventing, in performing control for changing the amount of control of the functional device in an exponential manner with respect to a change in amount of operation by a driver of a vehicle, the driver from feeling strangeness with respect to the change in the amount of control even if surroundings of the vehicle are changed.
A vehicle control device which obtains the amount of control in accordance with the amount of operation by a passenger of the vehicle and controls the vehicle on the basis of the amount of control is provided with a calculation unit for obtaining the amount of control by a power of the amount of operation so that in a first area in which the amount of operation is small, an increase gradient of the amount of control becomes larger as the amount of operation is increased, and in a second area in which the amount of operation is large, the increase gradient of the amount of control becomes smaller as the amount of operation is increased. A power index for obtaining the amount of control in the calculation unit is such a power index that the amounts of control with respect to respective amounts of operation from the minimum to the maximum are determined so that a difference with the amounts of control with respect to the respective amounts of operation in predetermined reference vehicles, the maximum amounts of control of which are different, falls within a predetermined reference range.
