Abstract:
In the present invention, an electrically controlled differential gear is provided between a right front wheel and a left front wheel of a vehicle. The electrically controlled differential gear has a clutch mechanism that limits differential motion of the electrically controlled differential gear. A second ECU (control unit) acquires information related to a failure regarding operation of a right front electric brake mechanism. The second ECU acquires a physical quantity related to request braking force applied to the left front wheel and the right front wheel. The second ECU outputs, on the basis of the physical quantity related to request braking force and the information related to the failure, a differential limitation control command for limiting differential motion of the electrically controlled differential gear, to the clutch mechanism (more specifically, a differential ECU that controls the clutch mechanism).
