Abstract:
Provided are a vehicle control device, a vehicle control method, and a vehicle tracking travel system that enable travel by tracking a leading vehicle, even if restrictions have been placed on a following vehicle. In the vehicle tracking travel system in which the leading vehicle and the following vehicle are non-mechanically linked and travel by tracking travel, the vehicle control device is installed on the leading vehicle and outputs, on the basis of input information relating to following vehicle vehicle-performance, a command for restricting the movement state of the leading vehicle.
