Abstract:
In the present invention, a motor (4) for driving a vehicle is disposed so that the motor is electrically connected to a battery (42) by way of an inverter (44) and that the linkage of wheels (36, 38) to the motor (4) is always maintained. If the shift range is a drive range, when the rotational speed of the motor (4) is less than a prescribed threshold value (n), the conductive mode of the motor (4) is set to a low speed mode in which electricity is conducted to a first coil (61) and a second coil (62), and when the rotational speed of the motor (4) is equal to or greater than the threshold value (n), the conductive mode is set to a high speed mode in which electricity is conducted only to the first coil (61). However, if the shift range is a neutral range, control of the inverter (44) is suspended and, as regenerative braking control, the conductive mode is switched to high speed mode not only in the high speed rotational range where the rotational speed of the motor (4) is equal to or greater than the threshold value (n), but also in at least a part of a lower speed rotational range.
