Abstract:
A vehicle control device that is provided with: a target-information acquisition unit 12 that acquires a current position, which is the relative position of a passerby with respect to an own vehicle; a predicted-collision-position calculation unit 14 that, as a predicted collision position, calculates, on the basis of the current position, the position at which the distance in the advancement direction of the own vehicle between the passerby and the own vehicle will be zero; a crossing determination unit 15 that determines whether the passerby is crossing the path of the own vehicle; a regulation-value setting unit 16 that sets regulation values that indicate a left-right width in a lateral direction that is orthogonal to the advancement direction of the own vehicle; and a presence determination unit 17 that, on the basis of the predicted collision position and of the regulation values, determines whether the passerby is in the path of the of the own vehicle. When it has been determined that the passerby is crossing the path of the own vehicle, the regulation-value setting unit 16 sets the regulation value for either the left or the right side of the position of the predicted collision position in the advancement direction to be larger than the regulation value for the other side.
