Abstract:
This vehicle control device comprises: a drive source; a torque converter that is provided downstream of the drive source on the power transmission path and that has a lock-up clutch; an automatic transmission that is provided on the downstream side of the torque converter on the power transmission path and that has an engaging element. The vehicle control device is also provided with a control unit which, when the automatic transmission is in neutral travel control in which the power is shut off during travel of the vehicle, if the accelerator position reaches or exceeds a predetermined position, the engaging element is engaged with the lock-up clutch in an engaged state.
