Abstract:
According to the present invention, a vehicle comprises an engine and an exhaust gas treatment filter attached to an exhaust gas channel of exhaust gas discharged from the engine. An attachment determination unit of this vehicle control device determines that the exhaust gas treatment filter is not attached to the attachment position when a temperature difference between a detected temperature of a first temperature sensor provided downstream of the engine on the exhaust channel and upstream of the attachment position of the exhaust gas treatment filter and a detected temperature of a second temperature sensor provided downstream of the attachment position of the exhaust gas treatment filter does not exceed a predetermined determination temperature within a predetermined determination period. The attachment determination unit starts the determination when the engine starts while a predetermined soak condition indicating that the exhaust gas channel is in a cooling state is established.
