Abstract:
This vehicle control device is provided with a flooded state detecting unit (104) which detects a state of penetration of water into an exhaust pipe (30) of an engine (10) on the basis of a first exhaust gas temperature measured at a first point on the upstream side inside the exhaust pipe (30) of the engine (10), a second exhaust gas temperature measured at a second point on the downstream side inside the exhaust pipe (30) of the engine (10), and an exhaust gas pressure inside the exhaust pipe (30) of the engine (10), wherein the flooded state detecting unit (104) determines that water has penetrated into the exhaust pipe (30) if an amount of increase in the exhaust gas pressure per unit time is at least equal to a first threshold, and an amount of decrease in the second exhaust gas temperature relative to the first exhaust gas temperature, per unit time, is at least equal to a second threshold.
