Abstract:
An objective of the present invention is to implement an update of a control program even when the volume of difference data is large. In the present invention, the capacity of an area in a vehicle control device for storing difference data is taken into account in controlling the volume of data to be received at the time of a program update, so that even in a state where not all of the difference data has been stored, the vehicle control device is allowed to sequentially carry out restoration and update from the received partial data.
