Abstract:
A vehicle control device, which is provided with an acceleration detecting sensor to detect the amount of acceleration acting on the vehicle and, after removal of a low frequency component of acceleration signals output from the acceleration sensor, to exercise control over objects to be controlled on the vehicle with the use of the acceleration signals, reduces an influence of acceleration signals upon control when a state that acceleration is acting on the vehicle at a fixed rate changes to another state that said acceleration vanishes, that is, a state that the vehicle is in halt while tilting changes to that the vehicle is ready to start or a state that the vehicle is turning in normal way changes to that the vehicle runs straight. In this way, when errors occur in the acceleration signals after removal of the low frequency component with the change of the state of the vehicle, influence of the acceleration signals upon control over the vehicle can be reduced with said change of the state detected. Thus, control over the vehicle caused by erroneous acceleration signal can be prevented, thereby control satisfactory in practice being possible.
