Abstract:
This vehicle control device, which controls a vehicle provided with a first power transmission mechanism disposed between a drive source and a driving wheel, and a second power transmission mechanism that is disposed in series with the first power transmission mechanism and performs shift transmission between an input shaft and an output shaft, is provided with: a slip detection means that detects whether or not a slip has arisen at the first power transmission mechanism; and a transmission means that reduces the slip by means of causing the second power transmission mechanism to perform shift transmission when it is detected by the slip detection means that a slip has arisen.
