Abstract:
A vehicle control device (10) equipped with an engine (2), and a clutch (3) that connects/disconnects a driving power transmission path between the engine (2) and drive wheels (5) in accordance with the supplied oil pressure. The vehicle control device (10) is capable of executing a neutral control when the vehicle is stopped, wherein the oil pressure supplied to the clutch (3) is controlled to an N control learning value with which the clutch (3) is placed in a half-engaged state, and a coasting control (free running control, deceleration economy running control, N coasting control) when the vehicle is traveling, wherein the clutch (3) is released and coasting occurs. When coasting control is implemented the vehicle control device (10) controls the oil pressure supplied to the clutch (3) to attain the same value as the N control learning value. By means of this configuration it is possible to control the oil pressure of the clutch (3) suitably when the clutch is released while the vehicle is traveling.
