Abstract:
In 2H mode of two-wheel drive and 4H mode of four-wheel drive, a driver does not pay much attention to travel performance on bad roads, and the execution of both idle stop control and neutral control is allowed. 4HLc mode, in which the differential motion of a center differential gear and a rear differential gear is limited more so than in 4H mode, is seen as a mode in which the driver pays attention to travel performance on bad roads, and the execution of idle stop control is prohibited while the execution of neutral control is allowed. Furthermore, 4LLc mode, in which an auxiliary reduction mechanism is switched to a lower gear than in 4HLc mode, is seen as a mode in which the driver pays more attention to travel performance on bad roads, and the execution of both idle stop control and neutral control is prohibited.
