Abstract:
This vehicle control device transmits a friction coefficient (µ) between a tire (3) and a road surface from a tire-side device (1) to a vehicle-side device (2), and performs vehicle acceleration/deceleration control in adaptive control (ACC) or a collision damage reduction braking system according to the friction coefficient (µ). More specifically, the braking distance is estimated according to the friction coefficient (µ) and the vehicle acceleration/deceleration control is performed according to the braking distance. Thus, it is possible to change the acceleration/deceleration timing according to the braking distance estimated according to the friction coefficient (µ) and more properly perform vehicle acceleration/deceleration control.
