Abstract:
This vehicle control device (50) is provided with: a search unit which, on the basis of geographical information supplied from the navigation device (60), searches for a deceleration start position before a downslope suitable for regeneration of a motor (32); and a charging rate control unit which, when the vehicle (100) reaches the deceleration start position, performs deceleration control for decelerating the vehicle and decreasing the charging rate of the battery (40). In the deceleration control implemented by a charge rate control unit, the drive power of the vehicle (100) is reduced to a drive power extracted with the motor output only and the vehicle is decelerated.
