Abstract:

This vehicle control device comprises: an engine (10); an engine control mechanism for controlling engine torque; and a PCM (50) which performs vehicle attitude control to control the engine control mechanism so as to lower the engine torque, and to cause vehicle deceleration when vehicle attitude control implementation conditions have been established, said conditions being that the vehicle is traveling and that a steering angle related value, which is related to the steering angle of a steering device, increases. When vehicle attitude control termination conditions, which terminate vehicle attitude control, have been established, the PCM (50) controls the engine control mechanism so as to return the engine torque to the torque prior to the implementation of vehicle attitude control. The lower the combustion frequency of the engine (10) per unit time, the less stringent the PCM (50) makes the vehicle attitude control termination conditions.
