Abstract:
The present invention achieves a vehicle control device capable of maintaining a control function and improving reliability during an operational abnormality in a processing unit or a power supply voltage abnormality. If there is no abnormality in the main CPU (11b) and main CPU (12b) of an autonomous travel control unit (11) and an auxiliary control unit (12), the autonomous travel control unit (11) and the auxiliary control unit (12) calculate control command values for autonomous driving control, and the CAN communication circuit (11c) of the autonomous travel control unit (11) is enabled, whereas the CAN communication circuit (12c) of the auxiliary control unit (12) is disabled. If an abnormality occurs in the autonomous travel control unit (11) and no abnormality occurs in the auxiliary control unit (12), the CAN communication circuit (11c) of the autonomous travel control unit (11) is disabled, whereas the CAN communication circuit (12c) of the auxiliary control unit (12) is enabled. If an abnormality occurs in the autonomous travel control unit (11) and no abnormality occurs in the auxiliary control unit (12) while autonomous driving control is being performed by the autonomous travel control unit (11), it is possible to maintain seamless autonomous driving control with little time delay.
