Abstract:
Provided is a vehicle control device with which it is possible, in a redundant configuration, to utilize a normal operation part in a system in which a failure has occurred. A vehicle control device having a redundant configuration, wherein the vehicle control device comprises a task switching function unit that switches the task that is executed when an abnormality is detected. When it is determined by a diagnostic function unit that there is an abnormality in a unit of a host system, calculation of the control amount in the unit of the system in which the failure occurred is stopped, and drive control of the control object is stopped. By performing a calculation other than the calculation of the control amount of the host system, and a calculation other than for the control for driving an electric motor, the calculation unit of the system in which the failure occurred is utilized, and the calculations of at least some of another vehicle-mounted device or the normal system are substituted.
