Abstract:
The present invention comprises: a shutdown determination unit (21) that determines whether a previous shutdown of a brake ECU (1), which controls an electric brake system (2) of a vehicle, was normal or abnormal; a cranking determination unit (22) that determines whether a cranking instruction at the time of startup of the vehicle was based on a manual operation by an operator or was generated automatically; a diagnosis unit (23) that performs multiple initial diagnoses at the time of startup of the vehicle; and a diagnosis omission control unit (24) that, if it has been determined by the shutdown determination unit (21) that the shutdown was abnormal and it has been determined by the cranking determination unit (22) that the cranking was performed on the basis of a manual operation by an operator, performs control so that the diagnosis unit (23) omits at least one of the initial diagnoses to shorten or eliminate the time required for the initial diagnoses.
