Abstract:
Provided is a vehicle control device that, in an vehicle having a means that allows a driver to determine the turning characteristics as desired, can ensure driver-based vehicle motion and attitude-control-based vehicle motion are provided, and can ensure turning performance and safety are provided. The present invention is applied to a vehicle (1) that comprises a yaw response characteristic setting means (16) that allows the yaw characteristic of the vehicle (1) to be changed by the driver as desired. Also included is a set value priority moment indication unit (18) for calculating both or one of a yaw moment based on a target yaw rate and a yaw moment based on a deviation between the target yaw rate and an actual yaw rate. Also included is a sideslip response moment indication unit (19) for calculating a sideslip angular speed and a yaw moment on the basis of the sideslip angular speed. Also included is an indicated yaw moment calculation unit (21) for calculating an indication yaw moment to be indicated to the vehicle (1) from the yaw moments calculated by each of these indication units (18), (19).
