Abstract:
In order to control the movement of a vehicle so that the trip time does not increase while reducing fuel consumption of the vehicle, this vehicle control device 1 for automatically controlling the speed of the vehicle is configured by comprising an acceleration/deceleration pattern setting unit 22 that sets a plurality of acceleration/deceleration patterns in a planned travel section on the basis of the past travel history in the planned travel section and sets the speed in the area between an acceleration area and a deceleration area in each of the acceleration/deceleration patterns to be the same.
