Abstract:
Provided is a vehicle control device that enhances robustness against failure in communication with a base station or a GNSS satellite, and that is capable of reducing the amount of communication information. In the present invention, the accuracy in determining the presence of an obstacle is estimated from the travel route of a host vehicle statistically or by machine learning, and the position accuracy during sensing of an obstacle is estimated on the basis of the difference between the movement amount of dead-reckoning position coordinates and the movement amount of GNSS position coordinates during satisfactory communication.
