Abstract:
Provided is a vehicle control device for decelerating through the regenerative force of a motor linked to a drive shaft of a drive wheel, the control device being configured to: compute a torque command value to suppress a vibration component of a drive shaft by feeding back a torsion angular rate of the drive shaft with respect to a target torque that establishes the drive force of the motor; and control the operation of the motor on the basis of the torque command value. This control device estimates, on the basis of the target torque, whether the vehicle is in a dead zone in which torque generated by the motor is not transmitted to the drive shaft, and if it is estimated that the vehicle is in a dead zone, limits the torque command value.
