Abstract:
Disclosed is a vehicle control method with which sailing control for traveling by inertia is executed during the traveling of a vehicle, wherein, every time sailing control is executed, the history of the sailing control is stored as history information which is classified according to the situation in which the sailing control was canceled. Then, the current traveling situation is specified, a piece of history information corresponding to the current traveling situation is specified from among the stored history information, and determination is made on whether to permit or prohibit sailing control on the basis of the specified history information.
