A vehicle control method for automatically performing an acceleration and deceleration control of a vehicle including start and stop, wherein the vehicle starts with a first driving force exceeding the starting resistance acting on the vehicle at startup, then switches to a second driving force larger than the first driving force after the vehicle starts up.
