Abstract:
This vehicle control system (100) is provided with: a control unit that sets a target position, which is used as a target when a host vehicle is made to change lanes, to an adjacent lane which is adjacent to a host vehicle lane along which the host vehicle is traveling, and causes the host vehicle to change lanes toward the target position; and a direction indicator control unit (180) that decides, on the basis of the relative relationship between the host vehicle and a vehicle that is traveling directly in front of or directly behind the target position set by the control unit, the timing at which a direction indicator provided in the host vehicle is actuated.
