Abstract:
This vehicle control system is provided with: a position recognition unit which recognizes the position of the vehicle; a path generation unit which generates a path in which multiple future target positions to be reached by the vehicle are included in time series; and a travel control unit which, on the basis of the distances between the multiple target positions included in the path, derives target speeds for when the vehicle is made to travel along the path, and corrects the target speed on the basis of a first deviation between the position of the vehicle recognized by the position recognition unit and a first target position of the multiple target positions that corresponds to the recognition time at which the vehicle position recognition was carried out.
