Abstract:
This vehicle control system is provided with: an operation detection unit for detecting that an operator has been operated by a passenger; an autonomous driving control unit for executing autonomous driving control; a switching control unit for switching a driving mode to any of a plurality of driving modes including a first driving assistance mode and a second driving assistance mode; and an output control unit which outputs prescribed information to an information output unit when the driving mode is switched from the second driving assistance mode to the first driving assistance mode. After the prescribed information has been outputted, the switching control unit continues the second driving assistance mode until it is detected that the operator has been operated, and cancels the second driving assistance mode and switches to the first driving assistance mode when it is detected that the operator has been operated.
