Abstract:
This vehicle control system has: a state quantity detection means for detecting a state quantity representing a vehicle posture; and a friction brake posture control means for minimizing a vehicle posture pitch motion by applying a friction brake braking torque to at least the rear wheels, and minimizing a vehicle posture bounce motion by applying a friction brake braking torque to four wheels. The friction brake posture control means is configured so as to give priority to minimizing the pitch motion over minimizing the bounce motion.
