The objective of the present invention is to provide a vehicle control system capable of charging a battery without problem, even in a situation in which it is difficult to charge the battery. A vehicle control system (VC) is a control system of a vehicle capable of charging a battery (55) using an external power supply, and is provided with: a vehicle air conditioning device (1) which is supplied with power from the battery to air-condition a vehicle interior, and which regulates the temperature of the battery; a battery residual amount display unit which displays a battery residual amount; and a control unit which controls the operation of the vehicle air conditioning device, charging and discharging of the battery, and the display of the battery residual amount display unit. The control unit leaves a reserve charging amount capable of driving the vehicle air conditioning device in the battery when the residual charging amount in the battery, displayed by the battery residual amount display unit, is zero.
