Abstract:
The present invention provides a vehicle control system that, when the lighting state of a traffic light is erroneously determined, prevents controlling of a host vehicle by execution of a driving assistance function on the basis of that erroneous lighting state. The vehicle control system comprises: a lighting state determination unit 123 that determines the lighting state of a traffic light installed on a road on which a host vehicle is traveling, and calculates the reliability level of the determined lighting state of the traffic light; a dynamic object recognition unit 122 that recognizes information relating to dynamic objects that exist around the host vehicle (behavior of other vehicles, pedestrians, etc.); and a lighting state evaluation unit 131 that updates the reliability level of the light state calculated by the lighting state determination unit 123 on the basis of the information recognized by the dynamic object recognition unit 122 (information relating to dynamic objects that exist around the host vehicle).
