A vehicle control unit, comprising a central processing unit (11) which is separately connected to a power supply module (12), an analog quantity acquisition module (13), a switch value acquisition module (14), a frequency acquisition module (15), a low-side driving module (16), a motor control module (17), a motor current-detection module (18), and a CAN communication module (19) by means of signal lines. The vehicle control unit processes acquired signals by means of the analog quantity acquisition module (13), the switch value acquisition module (14), and the frequency acquisition module (15) and then transmits same to the central processing unit (11). The central processing unit (11) communicates with the CAN of a vehicle by means of the CAN communication module (19). The central processing unit (11) controls electric loads of different relays to work as required, and controls the motor control module (17) to implement gear selection and gear shift, so that in a driving process, the vehicle control unit obtains the running state of the vehicle at any time, accurately acquires the operating information of a driver, analyzes operations of all components of the vehicle, and coordinates actions of all mechanisms. The vehicle control unit is simple in structure, safe, and reliable, and can reduce the costs.
