Abstract:
When one of the conditions, i.e. fuel cut start condition, indicating unnecessariness of engine cooling with cooling water being delivered from a radiator (400) is satisfied, an engine ECU(1000) directs a circulation network to select a route such that cooling water in the cooled radiator (400) can be stored in a heat storage tank (310). Since the combustion chamber of the engine is cooled rapidly using cooling water in the heat storage tank when a heavy load on the engine is detected, occurrence of knocking can be prevented even when the combustion chamber is sustained at a high temperature for the purpose of high fuel efficiency. Since cooling water is taken into the heat storage tank (310) as much as possible even during traveling, repeated cooling can be carried out and occurrence of knocking can be prevented repeatedly.
