Title:
VEHICLE COUPLING CONTROL SYSTEM, VEHICLE COUPLING CONTROL METHOD, AND VEHICLE CONTROL SYSTEM FAULT DETECTION DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2015/132944
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
There is a collision risk when coupling trains, so that great care must be taken from a safety standpoint. From a standpoint of ensuring safety, trains are coupled by operator's train operation and visual confirmation. However, this method requires time for the coupling, causing a reduction in train density relating to transportation capability. As an alternative to this method, a vehicle control method uses an inter-vehicle distance measuring device such as a radar, which makes it possible to improve the efficiency of coupling work. The device, however, may experience a decrease in reliability due to disturbance factors in an external environment. A railway vehicle control method for coupling a preceding vehicle and a following vehicle according to the present invention is characterized in that, between trains having a tachometer generator, a fault detection device, and a radar, a zone is set where radar single failure detection and integrity check are performed using the tachometer generator, and the trains which are at a short distance from each other are controlled using the radar the integrity of which has been confirmed, thereby coupling the trains without stopping.
