Abstract:
A vehicle cruise control device (100) is provided with: a motor generator (2) and control units (8, 9, 10, 13) that control the operation of a power storage device (6). On the basis of a determination that, while a vehicle (200) is driving on a planned driving route, there is an interval where a predetermined amount of regenerative power generation, by the motor generator, that exceeds a power-storage upper limit (SOC_u) of the power storage device occurs in the vehicle, the control units conduct power-storage-amount reducing control for reducing the current power storage amount of the power storage device by using a power-storage lower limit (SOC_l) as a lower limit, until the power generated by the regenerative power generation can all be recovered. Furthermore, on the basis of a determination that the predetermined amount of regenerative power generation is not actually expected, the control units conduct efficiency-prioritized driving for prioritizing an improvement in fuel consumption or electric power consumption of the vehicle.
