Abstract:
The present invention relates to a vehicle diagnostic apparatus and to a method therefor. The apparatus may comprise: an on-board diagnostics (OBD) connector connected to the OBD terminal of a vehicle; an initial value setting unit for correcting and initializing an internal set value based on the balancing state of the vehicle; a collision sensing unit for sensing whether the vehicle collides or not based on the values of a 3-axis acceleration sensor arranged in the collision sensing unit; and a communication unit for transmitting information on the collision of the vehicle to an emergency communication network through an external device when the collision sensing unit senses the collision of the vehicle.
