Abstract:
Provided is a vehicle display apparatus that can contribute to safe travel by enabling an image to be displayed over an entire region viewed from a vehicle to thereby suppress movement of the line of sight of a vehicle occupant. A HUD device 1 comprising an image display unit 2 for displaying an image on an image display surface, and an optical system 3 that projects image light of the displayed image onto a vehicle windshield WS, the HUD device 1 being configured so that a virtual image of the image is visible due to light reflected by the windshield WS, wherein the image display unit 2 is provided with a plurality of image display surfaces (liquid crystal panels) 23 each inclined at a different angle with respect to the optical axis Lx3 (Lx2) of the optical system 3, and the image is displayed on the plurality of image display surfaces 23. The images of the plurality of image display surfaces 23 are displayed over a wide region of the windshield WS.
