Abstract:

Disclosed is a vehicle meter device capable of displaying the external temperature without respectively installing a special vehicle meter device in vehicles equipped with automatic air conditioning and in vehicles equipped with manual air conditioning and a display-use external temperature sensor, which is provided with an assessment unit (15) that assesses whether or not an A/C external temperature sensor (10) is provided by comparing a set threshold value and an input signal value that is input into an input unit (13) from an automatic air conditioner (12) and assesses whether or not a display-use external temperature sensor (11) is provided by comparing a set threshold value and an input signal value that is input into the input unit (13) from the display-use external temperature sensor (11) when an internal power source is supplied, and a display output unit (16) that displays the external temperature on a second display unit (7b) on the basis of temperature detection signals from the sensors in cases in which the A/C external temperature sensor (10) is assessed as being provided and in which the display-use external temperature sensor (11) is assessed as being provided by the assessment unit (15).
