Abstract:
Provided is a vehicle display device capable of detecting the state of a viewer. The vehicle display device is provided with: an imaging means 51 capable of imaging the state of a viewer viewing a display panel 10, and disposed on the back side of the display panel 10; an infrared illuminator unit 52 disposed on the back side of the display panel 10 to emit infrared light toward the viewer; and an optical member 60 (a prism sheet 61 and a light diffusion sheet 62) disposed on the back side of the display panel 10 to guide visible light to the display panel 10. The optical member 60 (the prism sheet 61 and the light diffusion sheet 62) has missing portions 61a, 62a at locations corresponding to the imaging means 51 and the infrared illuminator unit 52.
