Abstract:
This vehicle door opening/closing device includes: a support member supported at the door of a vehicle; a drum supported rotatably by the support member and driven in a manner so as to rotate by a motor; and a deceleration mechanism that is supported by the support member and that decelerates the rotation of the drum. The drum causes an opening/closing operation of the door by means of moving a cable concomitantly with the rotation of the drum. A full-opening lock for mechanically holding the door at a fully open position includes: a striker affixed to the deceleration mechanism; and a latch and pawl supported rotatably by the support member. When the door is at the fully open position, the striker engages the latch, the pawl engages the latch, and as a result, the rotation of the drum in the direction of closing the door is mechanically inhibited.
