Abstract:
This vehicle door opening/closing device comprises: a driving means 7 for driving the opening/closing of a door 3 of a vehicle 1; a first detection means 9 and second detection means 10 for detecting the distance to an item to be detected which is positioned in a first detection range outside the vehicle or a second detection range which is closer than the first detection range; and a control means 8 for opening/closing the door 3 by performing drive control of the driving means 7, on the basis of the detection results of the first detection means 9 and the second detection means 10. The control means 8 prepares for the opening/closing of the door 3 by the driving means 7, by having the first detection means 9 and the second detection means 10 detect that an item to be detected has moved from the start area 18 which is an area that overlaps with the first detection range, to a trigger area 17 which is an area that overlaps with the second detection range, in the range of operation at a predetermined interval in the width direction of the vehicle.
