Abstract:
In a vehicle door lock device (100), a spring assembly mechanism, which is for assembling onto a housing (90) a spring (26) which is allocated to an active lever (25), has first support sections (91c, 96) for supporting a coil section (26a) from a side opposite a second arm section (26c) in a direction of extension of the second arm section (26c), and a second support section (97) for supporting the second arm section (26c) from a side opposite the coil section (26a) in the direction of extension of the second arm section (26c). By utilizing a stretching force of the second arm section that is produced when the second arm section (26c) flexes and deforms due to the spring support by both the first support sections (91c, 96) and the second support section (97), movement of the spring (26) relative to the housing (90) in the direction of extension of the second arm section (26c) is regulated. Due to this configuration, it becomes possible to stabilize the timing of switching of the position of the active lever between an unlock position and lock position.
