Abstract:
Provided is a vehicle drive assist apparatus that enables a driver to monitor a road surface state that may be useful in controlling a following wheel, or a road surface state that may be useful when moving back and forth while steering. The vehicle drive assist apparatus is provided with: a wheel position storage unit that stores the position of a wheel when the vehicle travels; a road surface information acquisition unit that acquires road surface information indicating a road surface state of a road surface on which the vehicle has travelled; and a display image generation unit that generates a display image displayed on a display unit of the vehicle for displaying the road surface information regarding the stored position of the wheel.
