Abstract:
In the present invention, the outer shape of the entirety of a vehicle drive device that contains an inverter device is made more compact. The vehicle drive device is provided with: an input member coupled to an internal combustion engine; an output member coupled to a vehicle wheel; a motor/generator (MG); a differential gear device; and an inverter device (3). The input member and the motor/generator (MG) are disposed aligned on a first axis (A1), and the differential gear device is disposed on a second axis (A2). The inverter device (3) is disposed in a manner so as to overlap the differential gear device when seen in a radial direction, and when seen in an axial direction, is disposed between: a second reference line (R2) passing through the first axis (A1) and perpendicular to a first reference line (R1) passing through the first axis (A1) and the second axis (A2); and a third reference line (R3) passing through the second axis (A2) and perpendicular to the first reference line (R1).
