Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of decreasing the operation angle of a constant-velocity joint 15a and reducing internal heat generation by increasing the length of a drive shaft 15 in a vehicle drive device wherein a cross groove constant-velocity joint 15a is used as the constant-velocity joint 15a of the drive shaft 15. This vehicle drive device is provided with a fixing member 30 that has: a fixing cylindrical portion 30a which is fixed to outer diameter portions of output shafts 25L, 25R extracted from an opening 27c of a casing 20bL; and a cup portion 30c which extends from the outboard end of the fixing cylindrical portion 30a to the outboard side and has an inner peripheral surface to which the outer diameter surface of an outside joint member 40 of the constant-velocity joint 15a is fixed. The fixing cylindrical portion 30a of the fixing member 30 is inserted into the opening 27c of the casing in such a manner that the outer diameter surface of the fixing cylindrical portion 30a of the fixing member 30 overlaps axially the inner diameter surface of the opening 27c of the casing 20bL in order to make the drive shaft 15 longer.
