Abstract:

In this vehicle drive device, a rotating electric machine (1) is disposed coaxially with an input member (3) and disposed on the first side (L1) in the axial direction with respect to a first gear (32) engaging with a second gear (42). A third gear (43) rotating integrally with the second gear (42) and a fourth gear (51) engaging with the third gear (43) are disposed on the second side (L2) in the axial direction with respect to the first gear (32) and the second gear (42). The shaft center (A2) of a counter gear mechanism (4) is disposed downward with respect to both the shaft center (A1) of the rotating electric machine (1) and the shaft center (A3) of a differential gear mechanism (5). An inverter device (7) is disposed on the first side (L1) in the axial direction with respect to the fourth gear (51) and upward with respect to the shaft center (A3) of the differential gear mechanism (5) and disposed at a position overlapping with the fourth gear (51) when viewed in the axial direction. A specific portion (P) of the inverter device (7) is disposed between the rotating electric machine (1) and the fourth gear (51) in the axial direction (L) and at a position overlapping with the counter gear mechanism (4) when viewed in the up-down direction and overlapping with the rotating electric machine (1) when viewed in the axial direction.
