Abstract:
A vehicle drive device that makes it possible to reduce the noise generated by a vehicle. This vehicle drive device 11 comprises an engine 13 and a supercharging device 18 that supercharges the engine 13. When the engine 13 is stopped, the supercharging device 18 functions as a gas turbine. The engine 13 drives a vehicle body 12 when substantial drive force is required, and the gas turbine 16 drives the vehicle body 12 when quiet is required, making it possible to achieve both drivability and quiet in accordance with the situation of the vehicle body 12.
