Abstract:
An electric braking device for vehicles, wherein the rotational motion of a shaft member (SFT) driven and rotated by an electric motor is converted to linear motion of a pressing member (PSN), by a screw member (NJB). A cap member (CAP) is provided in the electric braking device for vehicles. The outer circumference of the cap member (CAP) comes in sliding contact with a first tube section (Et1) of the pressing member (PSN), so as to be relatively movable in the axis direction and relatively non-rotatable around the axis. The inner circumference of the cap member (CAP) comes in sliding contact with a second tube section (Et2) of the shaft member (SFT) so as to be relatively movable in the axis direction and relatively rotatable around the axis. A storage chamber (Hch) is partitioned by the first tube section (Et1), the second tube section (Et2), and the cap member (CAP). The storage chamber (Hch) is connected to one end (Pb2) of the screw member (NJB) and a lubricant (GRS) that lubricates the screw member (NJB) is filled into the storage chamber (Hch). As a result, a rotational/linear motion conversion mechanism (screw member) for an electric braking device for a vehicle can be provided that maintains good lubricating properties over the long term.
