Abstract:
A crash box 10 has a first member (lower body 12) and a second member (upper body 11) vertically divided in two in the vertical direction Dg of a vehicle, and a joining part 13 where the first member and the second member are joined along the longitudinal direction Dh of the vehicle. The surface 12p on one side of the first member is positioned more to one side than is the surface S2 on one side of the side member 2, and the joining part is positioned within the vertical width of a bumper beam 1 of the vehicle and within the vertical width of the side member 2 of the vehicle.
